Nike Concept “Footstickers” - The FUTURE of barefoot running...???

Nike introduced the Nike Free technology back in 2003 with the introduction of the Nike Free 3.0, 5.0 and 7.0. All three were made to mimic the contour of the foot for barefoot running. The benefits of barefoot running is of course to strengthen to muscle on your foot and gives you that minimal feel when running. Now as we enter 2011 in a week, Nike is once again breaking the norm with a new concept that might see the light of day or not, the Nike Footstickers.

The Nike Footstickers were created by Dutch designer Frieke Severs  as a concept product intended for Nike. The idea is pretty self-evident: an outsole that adheres directly to your bare foot, with thickness and grip variable depending on the intended activity.

Again, these are just a concept as off now. Stay tuned to what could've been the FUTURE of barefoot running.
