Nike LeBron 9 P.S. Elite ‘South Beach’ – Official Images

One of Nike Basketball's big thing the past few years has been the addition of a special post-season shoes for LeBron James. The typical P.S shoes are usually cut to be much lighter with a lower price point. But this year, Nike Basketball decided to introduce the Elite series for the post-season that consist of three shoes and one of them is the LeBron 9. Beefed up for the post season, the Nike LeBron 9 Elite are made with superior lightweight performance, premium materials and meticulous construction.

The Mid-foot shanks and heel counters on the LeBron 9 Elite feature carbon fiber, a premium, ultra-thin technical material that makes them lighter and more responsive. The Nike Pro Combat inspired padded collar protection -- strategically positioned along the tongue and innersleeves -- gives the shoe a unique aesthetic and premium support for impact and pressure. Made of molded and articulated foam, the collar is extra flexible, allowing it to adapt to the anatomy of the foot and create a superior fit.

The LEBRON 9 PS upper incorporate the highest performance materials, re-engineered from inside out to ensure that the shoe is as light and strong as possible. The lightweight construction accommodates the ultra-high tensile strength Flywire made with Kevlar® aramid. This premium material has lower levels of stretch resulting in a stronger and lighter shoe, and a perfect fit.

Lastly, the shoe comes with a special sock liner built for internal traction. This combines 3D anatomical fit with non-slip print -- strategically distributed throughout the liner – to reduce the internal movement.

As for the color choices, the ones that LeBron will start wearing when they host the Knicks tomorrow will be the home white, but the ones that everyone and their moms wants of course will be the "South Beach" - Wolf Grey/Mint Candy-New Green-Pink Flash.
